Harry Potter is a series of seven desire novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The series chronicles the adventures of a young wizard, Harry Potter, the titular character and his friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry's quest to defeat the Dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who aims to become enduring, conquer the wizarding world, subjugate non-magical people and destroy all those who stand in his way, especially Harry Potter.

The series was originally printed in English by two major publishers, Bloomsbury in the United Kingdom and Scholastic Press in the United States. The seven books adapted into an eight-part film series by Warner Bros. Pictures, which is the 2nd highest-grossing film series of all time as of August 2015.

Because of the success of the books and films, Harry Potter-themed areas, known as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, have been created at several Universal Parks & Resorts theme parks.
When the first novel of the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone opens, it is apparent that some significant event has taken place in the wizarding world. An event so very extraordinary, even the Muggles notice signs of it. The full background to this event and Harry Potter's past is revealed gradually through the series. After the introductory chapter, the book leaps forward to a time shortly before Harry Potter's eleventh birthday, and it is at this point that his magical background begins to be revealed.

  • The Black Moon: A Novel of Cornwall: - Cornwall 1794. The birth of a son to Elizabeth and George Warleggan serves only to accentuate the rift between the Poldark and Warleggan families. And when Morwenna Chynoweth, now governess to Elizabeth's eldest son, grows to love Drake Carne, Demelza's brother, the enduring rivalry between George and Ross finds a new focus for bitter enmity and conflict.

We continue the tale of Ross and Demelza; of the wayward Valentine Warleggan, whose existence keeps open the old wounds of the feud between Ross and George; of Bella, the Poldark's youngest daughter, whose precocious talent as a singer is encouraged by her old flame, Christopher Havergal, and by a distinguished French conductor, who has more in mind than Bella's music; of Clowance, the Poldark's widowed daughter, who considers remarriage to one of two rival suitors; and of a murderer who stalks the villages of west Cornwall.

The 5 Best Weight Loss Tips Of All Time | Weight Loss Diet

You know the drill when it comes to losing weight: take in fewer calories, burn more calories. But you also know that most diets and quick weight-loss plans don't work as promised. Best 10 tips for weight loss:

1) Add 10 percent to the amount of daily calories you think you’re eating: If you think you’re consuming 1,700 calories a day and don’t understand why you’re not losing weight, add another 170 calories to your calculate approximately.

2) After breakfast stick to water: At breakfast, go ahead and drink orange juice. But throughout the rest of the day, focus on water instead of juice or soda.

3) Eat three fewer bites of your meal, one less treat a day, or one less glass of orange juice.

4) Wait until your stomach rumbles before you reach for food: It’s dazzling how often we eat out of monotony, jumpiness, routine, or disappointment—so often, in fact, that many of us have actually forgotten what physical hunger feels like.

5) Walk five minutes for at least every two hours. Stuck at a desk all day? A brisk five-minute walk every two hours will parlay into an extra 20-minute walk by the end of the day.
